Espresso Descend Watches: Taking Cues from the 50s and 60s

Inspired by the past, the Espresso Watches Descend timepieces stem from the classic styles of the 1950s and 1960s, taking into account the record-breaking dives that were achieved during this period. This era offered some of the first deep sea explorations as well as adventurous styles, and these intersect to form the Descent timepieces.

Each of the Espresso Watches Descend timepieces features a polished 316L stainless steel composition of its 42-millimeter diameter case which is available in four colors. The size of its dial makes it simple to read at a glance, and this is further enhanced thanks to the green luminosity found on its hands. Protecting both the front and the back of the case is a genuine sapphire crystal which can resist both scratches and nicks.

The bezel is made out of durable, scratch-resistant ceramic and it comes with a screwed down crown allowing it to boast a water resistance of 20 ATM. Inside of these timepieces, there is either a Swiss Ronda Normtech Caliber 703 quartz movement or a Japanese self-winding Miyota 9015 automatic movement depending on what you choose. Choose from 12 different nato straps or enjoy the high quality litchi grain calf leather straps, each one measuring a nice 20 millimeters and secured onto your wrist using a stainless steel pin buckle.

Currently, these watches are being crowdfunded on the crowdsourcing site, Kickstarter. At the time of writing, the Descend watches have reached their goal of $8,308 by raising a total of $8,417 in pledges with 15 days left to go. A minimum purchase of $175 gets you an early bird Descend watch of your choice.
