Zelos watches was founded by Elshan Tang, a Singaporean with a passion for timepieces. After years of admiring watches made by others, he decided to create his own innovative design, focusing on creating watches specifically for men who love to boat and dive. He named his microbrand Zelos, the Greek word for zeal, in reference to his passion for watchmaking, and that zeal is reflected in every exquisite detail of Zelos timepieces. The brand was officially launched in 2014 after Tang successfully raised over $80,000 in just 2 days on Kickstarter. Since then, Zelos watches have been in high demand with many of the micro brand's styles selling out as soon as they are produced.

The Helmsman Collection

The signature Zelos line is the Helmsman collection, named after the sailor who is responsible for steering the ship. The watches feature internal divers bezels for monitoring the duration of a dive, and they are fully water resistant at depths of up to 100 meters. Sapphire crystal is used to protect the faces of the Helmsman watches for durability, and the timepieces are powered by a Japanese 24 Jewel Automatic Movement Miyota system, which rivals the performance of Swiss movements. As stylish as they are practical, Helmsman watches feature a mix of sandblasted, brushed and polished finishes, giving them a distinctive look that is perfectly complemented by their luxurious leather straps.
