Gentlemen who love cars and luxury timepieces have plenty of reason to rejoice! NEZUMI Studios has unveiled a brand new watch concept that perfectly captures the spirit of vintage race cars and combines it beautifully with a minimalist mod watch design. The timepiece is called the NEZUMI Voiture, and it’s currently causing a major buzz on Kickstarter.
Founded in 2011, NEZUMI Studios is helmed by designer and race car enthusiast David Campo Cardenes. Located in Stockholm, the brand has created a high end chronograph watch with a face that could have been lifted from the instrument panels of a 1960s or 1970s race car. The timepiece is powered by a Seiko VK63 mecha-quartz movement and features a 316L stainless steel case with a choice of a black or brown Italian leather strap that is contrast stitched for added style.
NEZUMI Studios has really made a winner with the NEZUMI Voiture Watch, and it’s clear that watch enthusiasts from around the world feel the same. As of the date this was written, the watchmaker had managed to raise an incredible $80,628 against a goal of $42,490, and as if that wasn’t an amazing enough feat, there were still 15 days left in the campaign.
The company was currently working on unlocking stretch goals, including an engraved case back, additional strap options and the option to substitute a vintage mineral glass front to the standard sapphire crystal face included in the design. NEZUMI Studios plans to ship the Voiture watch in February 2016.
