Squale – Prefessional dive watches
Founded in 1946 by “von Büren S.A. / Montres” (Neuchâtel, Switzerland) Squale is synonym for Swiss Made professional diving watches. Back in 1946 the company started to produce watches and watch cases for different Swiss watch brands, who did not have the knowledge to build professional cases. The smaller brands used the Squale logo on their dial as a symbol for quality. Due to the success of other Swiss watch brands,  von Büren S.A./  Montres started to produce their own range of professional diving watches under the Squale brand namein 1950. This marked the beginning of the brands institutional history.

How the product is built
The great Swiss tradition of precision watchmaking, combined with solidity and durability: as tradition demands, the case is made from robust Swiss 316L steel, combined with a screw down back and -crown. These are essential parts of a watch that has to withstand high pressures and salt water. The watch is driven by a precise and robust Swiss made ETA movement. The watches are painstakingly assembled by master watchmakers, taking the greatest care over the fitting of the gaskets and ensuring that the case is water- and airtight; Afterwars, the watch undergoes strict checks, with regard to both resistance to water and timekeeping accuracy. Quality tests are performed on every single watch and not on a sampling basis. Last but not least, the movement’s reliability is certified by the fact that Squale has always been a direct customer of the ETA Factory in Grenchen, guaranteeing that all movements are of prime quality.
