Wanderlust Watches: Reinventing the Pocket Watch

When you think of a pocket watch, you likely imagine an antique relic with a mechanical design, a timepiece that would cost a small fortune if it was in good working condition. But there is a new micro watch brand that hopes to change that notion with their line of modern pocket watches. That brand is Wanderlust, and they’re already causing a stir among timepiece aficionados.

The Wanderlust Pocket Watch seamlessly blends modern and vintage design to create a timepiece unlike anything that has been produced before. The pocket watch features a distinctive minimalist dial with a single “W” printed on its face and slim stick hands and matching stick markers. Intended for women and for men, the pocket watch weighs just 60 grams and is only 9 millimeters thick, making it much more compact than the designs of old. Powered by Swiss movement systems, the pocket watches are made from 316L stainless steel and available with black, silver and rose gold finishes and matching cable link chains.

Wanderlust has plans to introduce their new line of modern pocket watches by raising funds from prospective customers through a Kickstarter campaign. The campaign is slated to launch at 6PM, Australia Time on Sunday, 3 January 2016 and will last for 30 days. In order for the campaign to finish successfully, Wanderlust must generate $12,500 AUS, a modest goal for a line of watches that is sure to be incredibly appealing to timepiece enthusiasts.
