In their early years, they masterfully designed watches for other watch companies like Tag Heuer, using robust Swiss made Valjoux movements. They were some of the most desired in that era, due to its modest pricing and durability leading to its Phenomenal Success. Over the Years Le Jour established a reputation by making Professional watches epitomizing precise engineering, dependable construction and using premium mechanical movements.
During the 1980s with the shift of demand from High-end Mechanical Watches to the mass-oriented Quartz Revolution, Like many other European manufacturers, even Le Jour began to phase out the production and with time eventually for unknown reasons faded away completely.

The new Le Jour Seacolt GMT collection
The Seacolt GMT collection features one of the most liked complications in watchmaking: The GMT complication. The GMT watch is designed with a fourth hand (which rotates around the dial every 24h only) and with a 24h bezel (which is turnable bi-directional). With those features, it’s possible to read multiple time-zones on your watch. You can set the GMT hand on your home time and set the watch on the time of your destination. A bi-colored bezel of the watch indicates day- and night time on the 24h bezel. The used colors gave GMT watches famous nicknames, like “Pepsi” for the red and blue bezel, or “Batman” for the black and blue bezel. Le Jour uses 316L Stainless Steel material in all watches. This is for both practical and aesthetic reasons, to give maximum resistance to corrosion and being one of the toughest metals available, it is widely used in luxury watches to maintain its elegance even after exposure to extreme environments.
Case and bracelet finish
The Seacolt GMT comes with a Stainless Steel Case in Brush / Shiny finish and Stainless Steel Bracelet in All Brush finish with solid end links and deployment clasp with push buttons making the Seacolt look refined and elegant. It can be perfectly combined with our WB Original straps.
Rated nine on the Mohs hardness scale – Sapphire crystal is crafted for the protection from unpredictable minor accidental scratches on the glass. It’s treated with an anti-reflective coating on the crystal, which directly reduces any glare or light reflection. This keeps the face of the Le Jour watch incredibly intact and legible for many years.
After sufficient activation by sunlight or artificial light, SuperLuminova glows light green with a special vintage effect in dark. Because of its much greater light storage capacity as compared to traditional materials, the pigments of Super-LumiNova provide stronger light intensity and gives long hours of luminescent in the dark.

Seacolt Diver Collection is powered by ETA 2836 Swiss made automatic movement with GMT complication. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, 4Hz, using bearing 25 Jewels, high precision workhorse movement is one of the most reliable automatic movements, well known by watch microbrands and other big manufacturers.
