Description
The DH106 Comet was the world’s first commercial jet airliner which heralded a new age of passenger air travel in the 50s. We christened our latest handwound the ‘Comet’ as it was designed to be a sleek and sophisticated timepiece, harkening back to the glamourous days of air travel. The Comet features a sector dial design popular in the 30s and 40s, updated with the latest materials and production techniques to stand out on your wrist.
The Aventurine dial is made from glass which sparkles brilliantly in the light, much like a starry night sky. We’ve also used ‘Dark Matter Gold’ supplied by FatCarbon for a unique gold forged carbon dial. Each and every carbon dial has a unique pattern infused with bronze.
The NASA edition was made to celebrate the agency’s achievements in space travel over the decades. It features the iconic ‘Worm’ NASA logo against a stark white dial, with full black lumed hands and indices for maximum constrast. Only 100 pieces have been made of this edition and it has been fully approved by NASA.
Inside beats the Swiss made Sellita SW215 handwound movement. This slim 3.3mm movement enables us to achieve the svelte 8.7mm thickness of the Comet and ensures it slips easily under your cuff. Each model also features a color matched date wheel.
