The Starfighter

The F-104 ‘Starfighter’ was developed in the 50s to be the fastest and highest flying interceptor aircraft. It reached immense Mach 2 speeds with its radical streamlined design.

We’ve developed the Starfighter Chronograph with this same philosophy, to acheive the slimmest case profile with an automatic Swiss chronograph movement. The ETA 2894 caliber was chosen due to its thinness and bi-compax subdial layout. The slim, sharp lug design evokes the razor sharp styling of the F-104 wings which were its secret to its record breaking top speed. A sapphire glass caseback reveals a custom PVD coated ‘Turbine’ rotor of the ETA 2894 chronograph.

The fully custom steel bracelet was designed for the Starfighter with a sharp 22mm to 18mm taper for a sleeker look. It features an endlink that flows seamlessly with the sharp case lug design, with a sharp downward angle to fit smaller wrists. The links feature both brushed and polished surfaces which reflects light brilliantly.

The Starfighter is protected from the rigours of daily wear with a 1200Hv coating on both the case and bracelet. This prevents minor scratches and wear, keeping your timepiece looking new for years to come.

Breaking Barriers with the Starfighter

The various dial options offer a unique identity to each variant. The starry Aventurine glass dial sparkles like the stars in the cosmos. We’ve developed the meteorite dial with a twist, using a blue PVD coating on the meteorite subdials and natural grey colored meteorite for the rest of the dial. The “Midnight Blue” model features a turbine styled guilloche pattern with fully lumed subdials. Finally, the “Frost” variant is designed in a ‘panda’ style with a full BGW9 main dial and black subdials for maximum contrast.
