Catering to a certain clientele, microbrands are on the rise around the world. These brands mark a way for those who go against the mainstream flow to find accessories and other items that they desire. Each of these brands is often niche and feature unique aspects that make them stand out from the major players in the industry. The same can be said about timepiece microbrands, as they are popping up all around in the watchmaking world, bringing unique timepieces to collectors who want something different from what is being offered by large, mass-producing companies.

Owning a microbrand watch is like owning a piece of passion and personality that stems directly from the watchmaker. Each watch that is produced is inspired by a deep love of the watch manufacturing process and is often completed by hand using unique parts and movements. These watches are inspired by trips around the world; by a love for timepieces introduced at a young age; and by a desire to create fashionable, luxury watches that are affordable to anyone who shares that passion for timepieces.

The microbrands on this page serve to embody everything that one of these types of companies is supposed to be. Each one has their own flair that individualizes them and makes them stand out from the crowd, ensuring that you are purchasing a watch that will be unique to only you. Featuring everything from modern minimalism to traditional timepiece craftsmanship to a hybrid of the two, you are sure to find what you are looking for through the exceptional variety of microbrand timepieces here at WatchBandit.

  83. Hello Watch Bandits,

We’re relaunching after a few years of being offline and have focused on improving our product and quality. Our brand takes a unique approach to the watch concept. Most watches are meant to tell you time (and while our does too), ours is actually meant to serve as a reminder to be in the present moment.

Our Time-Peace watches have a signature dial featuring the Tree of Life as an inverted peace sign, a brain, and a portion of a regular dial. The Time-Peace symbol is an integration of universal principles that can help anyone live in the Now and create a foundation for peace.

We’d love to be featured on your list! To learn more about our brand you can visit our website: http://www.time-peace.com

  84. Hi Mick, checkout:
ASOROCK WATCHES: (Africas first and only luxury watch brand!)

Social Entrepreneurship has been at the core of Asorock Watches operations from inception. Asorock aims at leveraging business to provide aid to those in need with our mission statement to “manufacture premium quality watches as leverage to build free libraries in rural areas across the African continent”

Because, “A business that makes nothing but money is a poor business.”
    ― Henry Ford

With that in mind, we are Launching live on Kickstarter on February 15th to raise funds to produce a mass (but limited) quantity of our first line of women’s watches rightfully called “TheFirstLady”. This would enable us to continue building free libraries across the African continent through the sales of the watches.

You may wonder why libraries? but we believe that food aid and clothing aid are temporary but knowledge is forever. Just like the old adage goes “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime”

Not only do you get a fantastically made watch at a discount price through Kickstarter, but you also improve the life of an African child and, your name along with everyone else that orders a watch will be engraved on a thank you wall in the library complex!

Click here to sign up and be notified when our campaign goes live!

Great article! Have you guys checked out Jack Turner Watches? They seem to be putting out some very nice pieces with an interesting story.

  89. I went through every website on this list and it’s been a while since I started, I’m on S, half of these upcoming brands are plain watches with thin bezels done pilot style bezels that are so boring you can’t even look at them, I’m a connosiour and I know watches by heart, make half of them honourable mentions and about half of them are missing like the new runner ups on kickstarter or dwiss of things and whatnot, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make half of them honorable mentions, they are just not cutting the mustard
Some people might still like them but we are not looking for the ordinary here.
