Straton Watch Co. Is Back with the Straton Curve-Chrono

In 2015, the Straton Watch Co. exploded onto the scene with a hugely successful Kickstarter launch of their first watch. The Swiss watch company managed to raise 1000 percent of their funding goal and has continued to be incredibly successful selling their first timepiece through their online store. Now the brand is back with their second design–the Straton Curve-Chrono.

The Straton Curve-Chrono is a chronograph watch inspired by 1970s automobiles, specifically race cars that were used in road race competitions like the Targa Florio held in Sicily. The watch reflects the design of those cars with its rounded case, and its chronograph dial resembles their instrument panels. Offered in two sizes, the watch is being produced with a choice of Japanese Seiko movement systems and seven different NATO straps made from genuine leather or stainless steel mesh. The watch has a domed sapphire crystal face and C3 superluminova hands for easy reading at night.

The Straton Watch Co. has opted to bring their new Straton Curve-Chrono Timepiece to market by selling directly to customers through a Kickstarter campaign, and they are doing incredibly well. What started as a modest campaign with a goal of around $15,500 has already brought in more than $175,000 in pledges from more than 370 backers with 16 days remaining in the campaign. A number of stretch goals have been unlocked, and more are on their way. The watches are slated to go into production in June and to ship in September and October of 2016.
